Terms of Service

Welcome to Glens Car Detailing. These Terms of Service govern every booking, service, and interaction with our mobile detailing business across Geelong and surrounding suburbs. By booking a service with us, you agree to the following terms in full.

1. Service Description & Coverage Area

Glens Car Detailing provides professional mobile car detailing, ceramic coating, cut and polish, paint correction, window tinting, mould removal, overspray removal, headlight restoration, engine bay detailing, caravan detailing, and signage removal services. We operate as a fully mobile service across Geelong and surrounding suburbs including Newtown, Highton, Grovedale, Belmont, Waurn Ponds, Leopold, Ocean Grove, Torquay, Lara, Corio, North Geelong, South Geelong, and neighbouring areas.

The specific scope of work for each booking is defined by the package or tier selected at the time of booking, as described on our website and confirmed in your booking confirmation email. Any additional work requested on the day of service is subject to availability and may incur extra charges agreed upon before commencement.

2. Booking & Scheduling

  • Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or via email. A confirmed booking requires a valid contact number, service address within our coverage area, and vehicle details.
  • We will arrive at the scheduled time and location. If we are delayed due to traffic, weather, or other bookings, we will contact you as soon as possible with an updated ETA.
  • Please ensure your vehicle is accessible at the scheduled time and that we have safe access to work around it. We require approximately 1 metre of clear space on all sides of the vehicle.
  • If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Late rescheduling or failure to be present at the scheduled time may result in a cancellation fee.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a 50 percent cancellation fee to cover lost scheduling and preparation time.
  • No-shows (where we arrive at the scheduled location and cannot gain access or contact you within 15 minutes) will be charged the full quoted service fee.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to severe weather, equipment failure, or staff illness. In these circumstances, you will receive a full refund or priority rescheduling at no extra cost.

4. Payments & Pricing

  • All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment is due in full upon completion of the service unless a prior arrangement for deposit or corporate billing has been agreed in writing.
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards. Card payments may be processed on-site via our mobile payment terminal.
  • Quotes provided before service are estimates based on standard vehicle condition and size. If your vehicle requires significantly more time or product due to excessive soiling, pet hair, or neglected condition, we will advise you of any additional cost before proceeding.
  • Late payments beyond 7 days may incur a 10 percent late fee and may affect your eligibility for future bookings.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide safe, legal access to your vehicle and the area around it. This includes ensuring we can park our mobile unit within reasonable proximity (ideally within 15 metres).
  • Please remove all personal belongings, valuables, and loose items from the vehicle interior before our arrival. While we take care with any items found, we are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property left in the vehicle.
  • You must inform us of any existing damage, aftermarket modifications, or sensitive areas on your vehicle before we begin work.
  • For residential bookings, please ensure pets and children are kept at a safe distance during service. Our equipment and products are professional grade and require a controlled work environment.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee & Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our service, please notify us within 48 hours of completion and we will return to address your concerns at no additional cost.

  • Our Premium and Elite interior detailing packages include a 3-day and 7-day backup warranty respectively for specific stain treatments and odour removal.
  • Ceramic coating packages carry the warranty period specified in the tier selected (1 to 5 years), subject to proper aftercare as outlined in our care guide.
  • Headlight restoration is warranted against re-yellowing for the period specified in your package (1 to 2 years), provided the vehicle is not subjected to deliberate abrasion or harsh chemical exposure.
  • Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with photo evidence where applicable. We reserve the right to inspect the vehicle before approving any warranty work.

7. Liability & Insurance

Glens Car Detailing carries full public liability insurance and is covered for accidental damage caused directly by our technicians during the service. However, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage, scratches, dents, or defects present before our service began.
  • Mechanical or electrical issues that become apparent during or after cleaning.
  • Damage caused by aftermarket modifications, poor prior repairs, or degraded vehicle components.
  • Loss of personal belongings or valuables left inside the vehicle.
  • Damage resulting from failure to disclose known sensitivities or pre-existing conditions of the vehicle.

In the unlikely event of a damage claim, we will assess the situation fairly and work with our insurer to reach an appropriate resolution. All claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

8. Weather Policy

As a mobile outdoor service, we are affected by weather conditions. We operate in light rain and overcast conditions using sheltered techniques. However, we reserve the right to reschedule in cases of:

  • Heavy rain or thunderstorms
  • Extreme heat conditions (above 38 degrees Celsius)
  • High winds that make dust or debris a concern
  • Severe weather warnings issued for the Geelong region

In the event of a weather-related reschedule, you will receive a full refund or priority rescheduling at your earliest convenience.

9. Vehicle Condition & Scope Limits

While we specialise in transforming neglected vehicles, there are physical limits to what detailing can achieve. We will always advise you honestly if a particular stain, scratch, or defect is beyond the capability of our service.

  • Deep scratches that penetrate the clear coat cannot be fully removed by polishing. We can minimise their appearance but not eliminate them.
  • Some interior stains, particularly those caused by bleach, dye, or long-term neglect, may be permanent despite our best extraction efforts.
  • Vehicles with heavily deteriorated paint, rust, or peeling clear coat may require panel repainting rather than detailing.
  • We do not perform mechanical repairs, panel beating, or structural work. Our service is cosmetic and protective only.

10. Before & After Photography

We may take before and after photographs of your vehicle for quality assurance, training, and marketing purposes. These images may be used on our website, social media, and Google Business Profile. If you do not wish for your vehicle to be photographed or featured, please inform us before the service begins and we will respect your privacy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from our services will be handled in good faith and, where necessary, through the appropriate legal channels within the State of Victoria.

12. Changes to These Terms

Glens Car Detailing reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
